  1.                        REASONS TO HAVE A GUS-ONLY VERSION

  4.            First,  I would like to apologize for the actual state of the
  5.         VangeliSTracker.  I  would  like  to state clearly that the fact
  6.         that   this   version   is  only  working  with  GUS  is  PURELY
  7.         ACCIDENTAL. There are two reasons for that:

  9.            o First,  I  want  to  have  the VangeliSTracker to work with
  10.              that  wonderful  sound  card.  I  must  admit that Advanced
  11.              Gravis  is the only manufacturer that has shown interest in
  12.              my work  , and that's something I'm eager to thank in every
  13.              possible  way.  The  rest  of  sound card makers have shown
  14.              none or,  as is the case of a VERY important one, they have
  15.              told  me  to go to hell (well,  actually they told me to go
  16.              coding for Windows, which is more or less the same).

  18.            o Second,  the  source  code  of  the program has gone out of
  19.              hands,  and it's too full of bugs to try to fix it.  Better
  20.              than that,  I'm gonna rewrite the whole thing from scratch.
  21.              The   biggest   trouble   was   the  different  programming
  22.              philosophy  of  the  GUS,  that made me put too many shitty
  23.              pieces  of code,  and that makes bugs multiply.  As I don't
  24.              have too much free time,  and I wont to get to the rewrite,
  25.              I'll not try to release this version complete.

  27.            Well,  as usual,  criticism,  suggestions,  help,  etc...  is
  28.         admitted (very badly wanted).
